⚙️ IN DEVELOPMENT — UNDER MAINTENANCE
ARK Warriors RP is under active development and is not ready for public servers. Systems and balancing change between builds, and saved progress may be reset without notice. Published here for testing and early feedback. Follow the Discord for the launch announcement.
ARK Warriors RP
Vanilla ARK hands you the entire tech tree for one number: your character level. ARK Warriors RP takes that number away and replaces it with something you have to earn, piece by piece — a profession.
You do not learn to build. You become a Builder. You do not unlock a rifle. You become a Blacksmith who has earned the right to make one. Everything you can craft in this mod is attached to a job, and every job is attached to work you actually did.
The Five Professions
- Hunter — weapons, from the first wooden club to siege ordnance
- Breeder — saddles across the full roster, plus kibble and cryo gear
- Builder — structures and industrial machines
- Blacksmith — forged weaponry and heavy workshop equipment
- Alchemist — mixtures, medicine and chemistry stations
Each one carries its own level, its own XP pool, its own daily limit and its own unlock list. They do not share progress. A max-level Hunter is still a Level 0 Alchemist — and that is the point. Servers develop specialists, and specialists need each other.
How You Progress
- Find the job station in the world and open its menu.
- Take the missions offered at your current level.
- Deliver the exact goods a mission asks for.
- Submit — the server verifies your inventory, takes the goods, and pays out.
- Level up, and a new product appears in your Workbench.
Two kinds of work are on offer:
- Standard contracts — three per level. Together they pay exactly the XP the next level costs. No filler, no grinding past the requirement.
- Special trials — one every five levels. These pay in goods or in cash instead of experience, and they are the only place some rewards appear.
Contracts are completed once per character, and a daily counter caps how much new work you can take on. Progression is measured in days of play, not in one long night.
The Economy
This is where the RP lives. Resources in ARK Warriors RP are not clutter you dump into a vault — they are currency in every sense that matters.
- Goods pay for progress. Every contract is a delivery. The hide, metal and narcotics you gather stop being crafting inputs and become the price of advancement.
- The mod runs its own currency. Money is earned through job work and held on your character, saved server-side alongside your levels.
- Crafting is not free. Default recipes are replaced by a custom Workbench whose entire catalogue is gated by job and level. You cannot buy your way past a profession, and you cannot craft your way around one.
- Specialisation creates trade. Because no single player can hold every unlock at once, the shortest route to what you need is usually another player. The economy is not a menu — it is the people on your server.
Will you push one profession to its ceiling and sell what nobody else can make? Will you spread thin and stay self-sufficient? Both work. They do not work the same way.
World Cache Network
Caches appear in the world and stay sealed until a survivor spends a key on them. Once armed, they open on a timer and roll rewards from tiered loot pools — and the rolls are shared, so whoever is standing there when the cache opens is part of what happens next.
This system is still under construction and not fully playable yet.
Built for Servers
The mod is written server-authoritative from the ground up, not retrofitted:
- The server decides everything. It validates each submission, consumes the goods and grants the reward. The interface displays data and sends requests — nothing more.
- Progress is saved per player, in its own save file keyed to the player's account. Levels, XP, money and completed contracts survive relogs, deaths and restarts.
- Blueprint-only, installs as a standard ASA mod, no extra dependencies.
Current Build
Playable: Hunter and Blacksmith job menus, contract submission, XP and levelling, Workbench unlocks, per-player persistence.
In progress: Breeder, Builder and Alchemist interfaces; the World Cache Network menu; final contract content.
Placeholder: mission text, required resources and all balancing values — XP, prices, quantities and drop rates are temporary and will change.
Roadmap
Planned, not in the current build:
- A trader hub where job goods and currency can be exchanged
- Deeper contract types beyond delivery
- Completion of all five job interfaces
- A full pass on mission writing and balance
Community and Support
Bug reports, balance feedback and ideas for contracts are genuinely wanted — this is the stage where they change the design.
