Black Labs Adjustments: Magmasaur
This Magmasaur TLC mod incorporates quality of life changes and balance adjustments to bring it into par with modern ASA. This mod focuses it toward a defined tank role while allowing it to remain relevant in end-game combat.
Changes:
1.) Rebalanced health, melee, and weight scaling. Should feel roughly Acro tier.
2.) Faster smelting.
3.) Slightly larger melee swing radius.
4.) Weight reduction to stone.
5.) Able to harvest sulfur and volcanic element crystals.
6.) Tighter turning radius and faster reverse walk.
7.) Lava Regeneration - a new custom ability, rapidly regenerate health while in lava. HUD indicator and particle effect.
8.) Hardened Magma - a new custom ability. Taking damage grants 1% damage reduction for 15 seconds, which stacks up to 50 times. Gaining another stack or taunting refreshes the duration.
9.) The basic attack now responds to camera direction. Look left to swipe left, look forward to bite, and look right to perform a right swipe. Though the right swipe is the mirror of the left, it is custom to this mod and not part of the vanilla creature.
This mod replaces the spawns of vanilla magmasaurs with BLA magmasaurs. BLA Magmas can mate with vanilla.
Black Labs mods are intended to feel seamless with Vanilla. They are not meant to drive anything into overpowered territory, just bring less functional or aging tames up to par. Balance changes are always a matter of taste - Black Labs balances with respect to PVE play.
