How Offline Decay Works
Offline Decay Ascended tracks when tribes are active.
When a tribe goes offline, the mod begins tracking its offline time.
If the tribe remains offline longer than the configured decay period, its abandoned:
- Structures
- Tamed creatures
can become eligible for cleanup.
If a tribe member logs back in before the timer expires, the current offline period ends.
If that tribe later goes offline again, a new offline period begins.
Online tribes are skipped.
Controlled Cleanup
Large abandoned bases are not removed all at once.
Cleanup is processed in controlled batches using:
MaxDestroyedPerScan
For example:
MaxDestroyedPerScan=250
If a tribe has more than 250 eligible structures and tames, cleanup can continue over multiple scans until everything eligible has been removed.
This helps avoid trying to destroy extremely large bases in a single operation.
Server-Wide Discord Notifications
Premium server owners can configure a Discord webhook for automatic server notifications.
These can be used for:
- Admin notifications
- Decay warning channels
- Cleanup logs
- Server staff monitoring
Enable them with:
EnableDiscordWarnings=True
DiscordWarningHours=24
DiscordWebhookURL="YOUR_DISCORD_WEBHOOK_URL"
Discord notifications are disabled by default.
Decay Warning
A Discord warning can be sent when a tribe is approaching its offline-decay deadline.
Warnings can include:
- Cluster name
- Server name
- Map name
- Tribe name
- Tribe ID
- Approximate time remaining
Time remaining is shown in an easy-to-read format such as:
- Approximately 10 minutes
- Approximately 45 minutes
- Approximately 1 hour
- Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes
- Approximately 1 day
Repeated scans during the same offline period are deduplicated to help prevent Discord spam.
Cleanup Completed
After cleanup fully finishes, the Discord webhook can report:
- Cluster name
- Server name
- Map name
- Tribe name
- Tribe ID
- Structures destroyed
- Tames destroyed
- Total objects removed
If cleanup requires multiple batches, the completion notification is sent after the cleanup finishes rather than after every individual batch.
Cluster-Wide Premium Activation
Premium is designed to work across an ARK server cluster.
A server administrator who owns Premium can activate Offline Decay Ascended on the server.
Once the cluster is registered, other maps using the same Cluster ID can restore Premium access without requiring the Premium-owning administrator to remain online.
New maps added to the same registered cluster can also restore Premium access.
Personal Discord Alerts
Players who own Offline Decay Ascended Premium can optionally link their Discord account and receive private Offline Decay notifications.
Personal Discord Alerts are separate from the server owner's Discord webhook.
Players can receive private notifications when:
- Their tribe is approaching offline decay
- Cleanup has completed
- They send a Personal Test Alert

Personal Decay Warning
If your tribe approaches its offline-decay deadline, you may receive a message similar to:
⚠️ OFFLINE DECAY WARNING
Server: My ARK Server
Map: The Center
Tribe: My Tribe
Time remaining: Approximately 45 minutes
Your tribe is approaching offline decay.
Log into the server before the timer expires to prevent deletion.
Logging back into the server before cleanup ends the current offline period.
If the tribe later goes offline again, a new offline period begins and another warning can be sent.
Repeated scans during the same offline period will not continually send the same warning.
Personal Cleanup Notification
If Offline Decay removes your structures or tames, you may receive a private completion message.
Example:
✅ OFFLINE DECAY CLEANUP COMPLETED
Server: My ARK Server
Map: The Center
Structures removed: 25
Tames removed: 3
Your offline-decay cleanup has completed.
If cleanup requires multiple batches, the completion message is sent after the cleanup finishes.
