Please keep in mind, I do not possess a console. If there are any console-specific issues, please leave a comment and I will do my best to find a solution.
Current bugs:
- Some buff damage, such a bleed, will bypass the dino protection, killing it.
- Inventory transferred from dinos by returning it to the Pokeball will not transfer all items.
Both of these issues have been fixed and will be applied in the next patch.
Catch-rate formula has been changed!
If you made changes to the INI for catch-rate reasons, you may want to readjust, or delete the Pokeballs INI section so it can be refreshed back to default settings.
This mod is thanks to Aleksey, who made the Pokeball mod for ASE and (with permission) allowed me to use their source code. I loved their mod so much that I had to have it for Ascended. Without their source, I wouldn't have been able to do this.
That being said, this mod is not the same as theirs. It is purely just the Pokeball portion of it with some personal tweaks to it.
New Items
- Pokeball (1x catch rate)
- Greatball (1.5x catch rate)
- Ultraball (2x catch rate)
- Masterball (Guaranteed catch)
- Quickball (1x catch rate): Thrown faster and homes on target. Ignores catch cooldown, giving 1.5x catch rate if thrown within cooldown period.
- Fastball (1x catch rate): Caught dinos receive a 25% movement speed buff.
- Duskball(1x catch rate): 1.5x catch rate at night. Caught dinos gain a 10% boost to many stats at night.
- Healball (1x catch rate): Dinos receive 2x healing and regeneration from all sources.
- Diveball (1x catch rate): 1.5x catch rate when dino is underwater. Homes on dinos when both the player and dino are underwater. Dinos only lose a quarter of their oxygen when submerged and use no stamina. Riders lose no oxygen.
- Dreamball (1x catch rate): The dino loses some damage dealt, but adds torpor to each attack.
- Heavyball (1x catch rate): 50% more HP and 100% more carry weight, but lose 10% movement speed.
- Friendball (1x catch rate): Dinos with this buff are not targeted by other dinos.
- Loveball (1x catch rate): If the dino has a mate-boost, upon taking fatal damage, gain 5 seconds of invulnerability before going on cooldown.
Notes
- Battle music is played when in combat or catching a dino. You can toggle it off in your radial menu.
- Catch rate is determined by the dino's max health, their current health, and max torpor. The higher these are, the more difficult it will be. Though, putting a dino to sleep will increase the catch rate.
- Dino's that are caught get their own Pokeball and can be returned using primary-fire while looking at them.
- A dino that has been caught will faint (fall asleep) if they take lethal damage.
- Dino's that are returned to their Pokeball will deposit their inventory into yours.
- Try to catch one of each dino, as you'll unlock new tiers of buffs. Each one giving you a higher overall chance at catching dinos. Be sure to catch them all!
