Shamrock Shores - St. Patrick’s Day Event

This mod is the first of its kind—a true passion project. I’ve always loved St. Patrick’s Day (not just because my name is Patrick or because of my Irish heritage), and I realized Ark was missing a proper event to celebrate it. So, I decided to create one. What started as a simple Lucky Dodo quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined!

Features

This mod introduces a variety of festive additions to Ark, including:
  • Three new dino variants (one of which is tamable)
  • A new seed and crop, along with a specialized planter to grow them in
  • A new Beer Barrel variant that brews Green Beer, complete with unique buffs
  • A Magical Loot Well that rewards players with valuable treasures if given the right item
  • A new dino candy that prevents your creatures from being "pinched" for not wearing green
  • Themed cosmetics like Shamrock Shades and a Leprechaun’s Top Hat
  • And, of course, a Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow! 🌈

Creatures

Lucky Dodo

A festive green dodo donning a top hat. While untamable, it lays special Golden Eggs. Consuming one grants a:
  • 50% XP boost for 15 minutes
  • Temporarily enhances loot crate quality
🕒 Golden Eggs spoil in 30 minutes but can be refrigerated for up to two days.

Leprechaun Bigfoot

A tiny, green version of the regular Bigfoot—just 30% of the original size.
  • Tamable & ridable (yes, you shrink to fit!)
  • Requires Shamrock Kibble to tame.
  • will only eat Verdberries, Shamrocks, Green Beer, or Veggie Cakes
  • Every time it poops, there’s a 20% chance it will drop Shamrock Dino Candy, which colors any dino green.
  • Even if you don’t get candy, the sparkly green poop acts as powerful fertilizer for your Shamrock Garden.

Finnegan (Jerboa Variant)

A mischievous green Jerboa that cannot be tamed.
  • It loves to steal Leprechaun Gold and can be tracked by following a trail of gold dust.
  • If you manage to catch it, you can claim its Leprechaun Gold Coins—essential for crafting event items.

Leprechaun Gold Coins

These special coins can be obtained by:
  • Catching (or killing) Finnegan
  • Finding a Pot 'O Gold at the end of a rainbow 🌈
🛠️ Used in the Smithy to craft all holiday items.

Loot Coins & Magical Loot Well

  • Trade in Leprechaun Gold Coins to receive Loot Coins.
  • Toss Loot Coins into the Magical Loot Well for a random loot reward.
  • The well also functions as a wireless water source.
  • 🍀 Drinking Green Beer enhances the well’s magic, ensuring higher-quality loot.

Green Beer & Barrel

  • The Green Beer Barrel brews Green Beer using:
    • Verdberries
    • Shamrocks
    • Thatch
    • Water
  • Green Beer Buff: Grants the Luck of the Irish, which:
    • Triples loot from Finnegan
    • Guarantees higher-quality loot from the Magical Loot Well
    • Reveals chasing rainbows leading to Pot 'O Gold loot drops

Pot 'O Gold Loot Drops

Randomly spawn across the map. ✨ Normally invisible, but players under the Luck of the Irish Buff can see chasing rainbows that guide them to these hidden treasures.

Shamrock Dino Candies

  • Dropped by Leprechaun Bigfoot (20% chance when it poops).
  • When fed to a tame, it:
    • Colors tamed dinos green 🍀
    • Provides a speed boost 🏃‍♂️
  • ⏳ Effects last 24 hours.

Shamrock Planter & Shamrock Kibble

  • The Shamrock Planter grows Shamrocks from Shamrock Seeds at an accelerated rate.
  • Use Leprechaun Bigfoot poop as fertilizer.
🍀 Shamrock Kibble (crafted in a cooking pot) is:
  • The only way to tame a Leprechaun Bigfoot
  • More powerful than Extraordinary Kibble
  • Applies torpor to creatures upon consumption, making it perfect for taming dinos with fast torpor drain.

With this mod, Ark finally has the St. Patrick’s Day event it deserves! Whether you're chasing rainbows, brewing Green Beer, or taming a Leprechaun Bigfoot, there's plenty of festive fun to enjoy. 🍀🌈
Shamrock Shores Spawn Commands
What does Freemium mean? It means that without owning the mod, players will be able to gather the coins from the Finnegans to craft all 8 of the cosmetic skins. They will also be able to use the candies that the Leprechaun drops, and open gifts from the Loot well. Everything else requires owning the mod.
