Bring a new survival threat to ARK: Ascended.
This mod introduces a Blood Moon event system, roaming zombies, a progressive zombie virus infection, tiered cure crafting, and a full in-game settings menu—no INI edits required.
Blood Moon Event System
A new Blood Moon cycle transforms the ARK into a high-intensity survival scenario.
When a Blood Moon rises:
- Waves of Zombie dinosaurs assault players and structures
- Rare zombie variants appear more frequently
- Special loot tied to the infection system becomes more common

Undead threats appear even outside Blood Moons Zombies can sense raw meat and can also target bases and player in random mini-hordes
The Zombie Virus Infection System
Players and dinosaurs can become infected with the zombie virus. The infection progresses through three curable stages:
Stage I – Early Infection Treated with Lesser Rot-Blocker Serum.
Stage II – Active Rot Treated with Rot-Purging Serum.
Stage III – Critical Decay Treated with Rot-Cleanse Vial.
There are rumors of a rare, high-tier cure, Panacea-Z610, that can reverse near-total zombification.
Cure Crafting and Progression
Cures are produced using components obtained from killed zombies. Zombies have a chance of dropping a fleshy growth that may contain these components or much needed resources and gear. This creates a risk-reward loop centered around exploration, combat, and infection management.
In-Game Mod Settings
All configuration settings are accessible without INI editing.
Settings can be opened through:
- The radial menu
- A craftable settings item included with the mod
- The console command: cheat ScriptCommand BloodMoon Menu
Adjust Blood Moon timings, zombie spawns, infection rates, difficulty scaling, and more—all directly in-game. Many console commands also appear as buttons inside this settings menu.
Admin / Script Commands
These commands allow testing, debugging, and direct control of Blood Moon and infection mechanics. Use them in admin mode with the cheat ScriptCommand BloodMoon.

Note: In the case settings or defaults are not working or are corrupt you can delete: /shootergame/save/savegames/BloodMoonLite/Settings.sav to restore them.
