TrinketHaxx

Mod: Jorth's TrinketHaxx

Version: 0.2

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I created this mod so that I could trigger both my trinkets and cast a spell all on the same button. In my case, I now have my ZHC and ToEP on a button my direct damage spells. Since these trinkets can't be stacked anymore, I have them chain one after the other as they become ready. If neither trinket can be used, I cast a spell as per normal.

And yes -- as some of suggested -- the basic functionality of this mod can be achieved using a macro. This mod was designed to improve upon what can be done using a macro (e.g. no warning messages). Please refer to Blizzard's "UI and Macro Forum" if you are interested in learning about those macros.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage - Chaining Trinkets
---------------------------------------------------------------------

To use the mod, create a macro like the following:

/script if (TrinketHaxx_ChainTrinkets(13, 15, 14, 20) == false) then CastSpellByName("Frostbolt(Rank 11)"); end;

The numbers 13 and 14 are the trinket slots (these should not change for you). The 15 and 20 are the active times on the respective trinkets (ToEP in slot 1 (13) with a 15 second cooldown, and ZHC in slot 2 (14) with a 20 second cooldown). The ToEP will fire first (if ready) and then any subsequent presses of the button will result in a Frostbolt. When the 15 seconds pass, the next press of the button with trigger the ZHC, followed again by Frostbolts on subsequent presses. After one of the trinkets is ready again (i.e. after the cooldown is up) it will fire again.

Replace the spell name with whatever you usually like to spam, and replace the cooldown times (15 and 20 in the example) to match your trinkets. Additionally, if you want to spread them out a little more, you could increase the times to 30 or 60 seconds for example.

Here are my macros for the Fireball and Arcane Missiles spells:

/script if (TrinketHaxx_ChainTrinkets(13, 15, 14, 20) == false) then CastSpellByName("Arcane Missiles(Rank 8)"); end;
/script if (TrinketHaxx_ChainTrinkets(13, 15, 14, 20) == false) then CastSpellByName("Fireball(Rank 12)"); end;

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage - Stacking Trinkets
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have two trinkets that can be active at the same time then you can use the stacking version of the mod:

/script if (TrinketHaxx_StackTrinkets(13, 15, 14, 20) == false) then CastSpellByName("Frostbolt(Rank 11)"); end;

If you always want them to stack, make sure that the cooldown times are the same and are greater than the overall cooldown time of your trinkets. For example, in the old days you could always stack the ZHC and ToEP if you set the times to about 140 seconds (20 seconds of active time for the ZHC + a cooldown time of 2 minutes). I don't really use this version much anymore, so experiment and see what kind of results you get.  :P

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage - Single Trinket
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have only one trinket then you can use the following (slot number and cooldown):

/script if (TrinketHaxx_SingleTrinket(13, 20) == false) then CastSpellByName("Frostbolt(Rank 11)"); end;
