Reworks traits to be more useful and less of a demonstration in futility.
For now, Make sure the mod is first in your load order or the modded values will be overwritten. The traits names themselves have TW on the end so you can know that it is working.
My purpose in making this mod is to make traits come online with less work, because right now there not much incentive to look around tirelessly for traits if they don't do enough. Ive reduced the amount of stacks of a trait that can be slotted onto a dino in many cases, but there are still 3 ranks to each trait.
Quick-Hitting 2 Stacks (down from 3)
-Attacks 5%/10%/15.0% (up from 2.5%/3.75%/5.0%) faster
-Inflicts 3.0%/6%/9.0% (down from 5.0%/7.5%/10.0%) reduced melee damage
Heavy-Hitting 2 Stacks (down from 3)
-Inflicts 5%/10%/15.0% (up from 2.5%/3.75%/5.0%) increased melee damage
-Has a 3%/6%/9% (down from 5%/7.5%/10.0%) reduced melee attack speed
These changes yield about a 4.7% dps increase for each stack. Roughly.
Angry 1 Stack (down from 2)
-creature deals up to 10%/17.5%/25% (up from 1.25%/1.875%/2.5%) more damage based on its current health.
-The bonus begins at 95% (up from 50%) remaining health and scales linearly to its maximum value at 45% (up from 25%) remaining health.
(I set it to 95% because I get pretty angry when i get hurt even once IRL, so I wanted a trait that's called "Angry" to reflect that).
Aggressive 2 Stacks
-Whenever this creature deals damage to a non-allied target, it gains a 5%/10%/15% (up from 2.5%/3.75%/5.0%) Movement Speed buff for 5 seconds, refreshing (not adding or stacking) on subsequent hits.
-(NEW)Whenever this creature deals damage to a non-allied target, it gains a stamina regen buff for the duration of the speed buff.
This would be helpful to creatures that tire out fast during combat and have trouble closing the gap.
Giantslaying 1 Stack (down from 2)
-Inflicts 5%/10%/20.0% (up from 2.5%/3.75%/5.0%) increased damage against large creatures with Drag Weight of 400 (down from 500) or higher
-Inflicts 5%/10%/25.0% (previously 7.5%/11.25%/15.0%) reduced damage against small creatures with Drag Weight 200 or lower
I wanted this trait to be more useful, so I included dinos between 400 to 500 in the range.
Kingslaying 3 Stacks
-Inflicts 7.5%/10%/12.5% (up from 5.0%/7.5%/10.0%) increased damage to Bosses and Alpha creatures
-Inflicts 10% (down from 10%/15%/20%) reduced damage to all other targets
Mineral Bearer 2 Stacks (down from 3)
-Mineral: Flint, Stone, Crystal, Obsidian and Metal.
-Reduces its inventory weight for affected items by 15%/30%/45% (up from 15.0%/22.5%/30%)
-Drag weights were changed:
0 - 200 = 100% effect (Anky, Castoroides, Doed)
200 - 500 = 80% effect (up from 66%) (Theri, Mammoth, Dunky)
500 - X = 60% effect (up from 33%) (Magmasaur, Bronto, Mek)
The Idea here is you get the full 3 stacks of mineral bearing 3 with ust 2 stacks. and its marginally more affective for each drag weight class.
