Welcome to Moonttra's Reborn Robots!
Unfortunately, as it stands. I will not have much time to dedicate to my mods anymore due to different goals I wish to achieve for a much larger and broad goal/path I have in mind. This means RR will suffer from lack of updates from here on out.
Reborn Robots is a creature rebalancing mod for the multitude of TEK Robots found roaming the ARKs and most notably, Extinction. This mod focuses on systems, strategic play, and resource management rather than just:
"stat = better.. I win!"
or
"Welp, ima just tank this enemy and spam left click"
So it rewards: Decision-making, positioning, and timing.
Reborn Robots are not globally powerful — they are situationally dominant where they belong.
This mod is inherently balanced for PVE, but with some slight adjustments for PVP players too if a server feels interested enough to use the mod. Prime balance example:
Mine Launcher Core auto detonates when an enemy walks into radius, if this enemy is a player, it has a short fuse/delay with warning until detonation. This allows counterplay and less "TF DID I JUST DIE TO?"
The main premise of the mod is attachments. These are equipped through an equippable gear slot which houses an "Attachment Bank" This Bank stores at max, 2 attachments which can synergize together and receive bonuses if 2 different and compatible ones are together.
This mod currently adds:
Many constructable Robots based on the ones from vanilla ARK, modified, controllable, customizable. As well as a new "Red Variant" fitted with Lost Colony's Red Element. This makes them particular effective against LC's factions.
A large selection of attachments, upgrades, and additions to be found to use on these Robots.
Many synergies, combos, and strategies to be found from these additions.
Also has some cool lore to connect to ARK if you care about that.
