GigArk Creatures - Take the Adventure With You!

Welcome! This mod is the official companion for the GigArk Island map, designed to extend the unique experience of the island across the entire ARK universe.

Have you ever wanted the special, fiery, and transformed creatures of GigArk Island to accompany you to other worlds? Did you obtain the legendary Magma Tek Armor Set and wish you could wear it on other maps? The GigArk Island Creatures companion mod makes this possible, ensuring your hard-tamed favorites can travel with you to any map in your cluster.

How It Works: The Automatic Override System

This mod functions as an automatic override system. When run alongside the GigArk Island map, this mod's game data loads and establishes a global rule: it automatically replaces the unique "Map Version" of creatures and items with the "Mod Version". This process happens in the background without any user intervention, ensuring seamless cross-server travel for your unique tames.

Cross-ARK Compatibility: The mod is designed to work seamlessly in server clusters, ensuring a stable and secure transfer process.

Installation Instructions (CRITICAL FOR SERVER ADMINS!)

⚠️ For the transfer to work flawlessly, the GigArk Creatures mod must be installed and activated on EVERY SINGLE MAP in your server cluster!

If the mod is not running on the destination server (where you are transferring your items and creatures), they may be lost or destroyed upon transfer. For a bug-free experience, please ensure this mod is included in your Game.ini or command line for all of your maps.

Important Notes: Existing Tames and Cryopods The replacement of creatures is automatic, but for pre-existing tamed creatures, the game needs a "refresh" to apply this rule.

Creatures Left Out: Your existing tamed custom creatures that are out in the open will be automatically converted to the modded, transferable version upon the next server restart.

Creatures in Cryopods: Creatures inside a Cryopod are in a "frozen" state. The game doesn't "see" them, so the replacement cannot happen to them immediately.

What to do for a smooth transition?

Before the server restart that activates the conversion, please release your affected custom creatures from their Cryopods!

After the server has restarted, the creatures left out in the open will be converted.

You can then safely cryo them again, now in their new, fully transferable form.
