The Steampunk cosmetics from Bob's Tall Tales 2 are beautiful! However, once you make over your whole base with Steampunk, and place down all the new Steampunk structures, the old stuff feels out of place. Well...
Introducing Better Steampunk Structures! BSS aims to give a lot of the old vanilla structures a facelift to a retro-modern, Steampunk, aesthetic. Most of these structures will simply be a new version of the old crafting stations, however a few will requires Bob's Tall Tales DLC in order to use them.
The Structures:
Better Steam Forge:
Unlocks at level 94, and requires 36 EP
this is a smaller version of the Steam Forge that came in the BTT2 DLC...with a few additions.
- Wireless Power with bother Tek and Gasoline Generators
- Ability to refine Element Ore into Element, at the rate of 20 Ore to 4 Element.
Better Steampunk Industrial Cooking Pot:
Unlocks at level 89, and requires 60 EP
- Slightly faster crafting than the vanilla version
Better Power Generator:
Unlocks at level 49, and requires 24 EP
- Slightly larger area of power
Better Linked Storage:
Unlocks at level 100, and requires 33 EP
- Reduced Power-Up and Power-Down timers from 5 mins, to 30s
- Increased placement limit from 4 to 10 (does include vanilla linked storage)
- Increased the Unlinked storage from 2 to 5 for batteries, and the powered storage from 50 to 500
- Increased the Health from 500 to 5000
- Made them able to be PIN-locked
Better Zeppelin
Unlocks at level 92, and requires 22 EP
- increased carry weight from 1800 to 10000
- made the inventory able to hold any item, and set it to reduce the weight of the items in its inventory by 75%
- set it to generate 3 charcoal per 1 wood consumed, and 1 charcoal per 1 thatch consumed, when wood or thatch is used as fuel
- increased the forward movement speed from 1.0 to 2.5
- increased the reverse movement speed from 1.0 to 1.5
- increased the health from 20000 to 40000
- added a UI feature for the fuel amount when mounted and flying the Better Zeppelin
- added feature that toggles on/off any generator attached to the Better Zeppelin by pressing the "Fire" input; Left Mouse Click or Right Trigger
- added feature that toggles headlights on/off by pressing the "Targeting" input; Right Mouse Click or Left Trigger
Better Spotlight
Unlocks at level 54, and requires 8 EP
- made the Better Spotlight able to be placed on platform saddles
Better Pressurized Barrel
Unlocks at level 60, and requires 20 EP
Made for storing consumables that can spoil, just like a refrigerator, but with a much slower spoil rate
- increased all spoil multipliers by 50%
- can place Wyvern Milk and Organic Polymer in the Better Pressurized Barrel
- has 500 slot inventory
- made the Better Pressurized Barrel able to be placed on platform saddles
Better Radiation Barrier
Unlocks at level 70, and requires 24 EP
- set it to activate from any nearby power generator, or it has slots for 5 charge batteries
- when activated, it will buff any player or dino within its radius with the "Radiation Prevention" buff which protects against radiation and sun damage
- can be placed on the back of any platform saddle, including the Better Zeppelin and will protect the Better Zeppelin against radiation damage
