B+ Structures Mod Overview

B+ Structures is a comprehensive quality-of-life and automation suite for ARK. It is designed to seamlessly replace vanilla structures while introducing advanced systems for storage, breeding, crafting, and administrative control.

Vanilla Integration

  • Native Compatibility: Items with vanilla counterparts utilize standard crafting costs.
  • Seamless Upgrading: Simply place a vanilla structure and swap it to the B+ version in-place.
  • Engram Friendly: No additional engrams are required to begin using the mod.
  • Save Safe: Designed to be added to existing saves without data loss.

Mod Configuration

  • In-Game Menu: Open settings via the Gold Star icon in your inventory.
  • Admin Control: Administrative rights are required to modify global settings.
  • Live Updates: Most configuration changes apply instantly in-game.
  • Engram Management: Engrams can be disabled via config (requires server restart).

Configuration Portability

The mod generates a ModSettings.sav file located in SavedGames/B+/. This file can be moved between servers to maintain consistent settings across clusters.

Structure Features and Automation

Smart Pull System

Automatically pull resources for crafting and repairs from:

  • Nearby storage containers
  • Nearby tamed dinosaurs

Actions: Supports Craft Pull, Repair Pull, and Manual Pull. Compatibility: Works with Visual Storage; ignores containers starting with "ASTERISK".

Core Utilities

  • Structure Adjustment: Adjustable size on placement; sound and light levels can be tuned via the radial menu.
  • Omni Tool: Hold Reload to switch modes: Transfer Tool, Inventory Assistant, Dedicated Storage Upload, Dino/Loot/Gene Scanners, and Teleportation.
  • Multi Tool: Rapidly manage structures (Pickup/Demo) and Dinos (Kill/Claim/Spray/Chibi-creation).
  • Tool Selector: Press F (PC) or LT + Y/Triangle (Console) to equip tools directly from your inventory without using quick slots.

Specialized Systems

Storage and Logistics

  • B+ Storage: Wood, Metal, and Tek tiers. Features whitelists, resource consolidation, and custom spoil timers.
  • Intake Systems: The Intake Pole and Storage Interface allow for map-wide transfers and automatic inventory offloading from players and saddles.

Breeding and Management

  • Mutator: Assign gender, enable breeding, pause aging, and trigger growth pulses.
  • Propagator: Automates breeding and mutation for dinos inside cryopods (compatible with Dino Depot and Super Cryo).
  • Vivarium & Cloning: Efficiently store and clone cryopodded dinos while generating passive resources.

Farming and Power

  • Automation: Specialized collectors for items, honey, and eggs. Includes Auto Food/Water and Achatina production boosts.
  • Industrial Tek: Instant crafting for Forges and Stoves; increased chemistry and cooking outputs; wireless repair stations.

Defense and Specialized Tools

  • Advanced Defense: Turrets featuring copy-paste settings and advanced targeting logic.
  • Tek Shield: Instant power with radiation protection and flexible fuel usage.
  • Super Spyglass: Provides detailed HUD information for wild dinos and eggs.
  • Transmutator: Converts vanilla, aberrant, and modded dinosaur variants.

Administrative Tools

  • Admin Unlock Gun: Instantly claim, unclaim, unlock, or relock any structure or container.
  • Area Actions: Perform administrative tasks across a defined area of effect.
  • Trait Tools: Utilities for generating and managing dino traits.
