ASA Dino Upgrades! (Cross-Platform)

Craft simple upgrades to many different dinos to provide balanced improvements to their utility or just make them more fun to ride!

Craft simple upgrades to many different dinos to provide balanced improvements to their utility or just make them more fun to ride! The goal of this mod is to provide functional upgrades to dinos without modifying vanilla assets in any way.

Each upgrade is crafted as a costume, and placed in the costume slot of the creature. As soon as the upgrade costume is removed, the changes are also removed.

All upgrades are designed to be useful but not overpowered.


Craft and place the Dino Upgrades Bench, and use it to craft special costumes which can then be added to your favourite dino to upgrade their abilities. Once added to your dino the costume will remain until you remove it. They will remain even if your dino is stored in a cryopod. Saddles may be used as normal and are not affected.

IMPORTANT: The upgrades are costumes. When you transfer them to your inventory they will appear in the "Cosmetics" tab of your inventory. You can then move them into the cosmetic slot of your dino, which is next to the saddle slot.

You can now craft an upgrade for your Rhynio to remove the speed nerf while carrying. Back to normal speed!

Supported Land Creatures:

  • Giga (Stamina increase.)

Supported Flyers:

  • Argentavis (Speed increase, backwards walking and slow backwards flying.)
  • Rhynio (Speed increase and disabled carrying nerf.)

Supported Water Creatures:

  • Basilo (Speed increase and backwards swim.)
  • Manta (Speed increase and backwards swim.)
  • Dolphin (Speed increase and backwards swim.)
  • Mosa (Speed increase and backwards swim.)
  • Plesi (Speed increase and backwards swim.)
  • Shasta (Speed increase, backwards swim and 75% weight reduction for resources.)
  • Dunkleo (Speed increase, backwards swim and 75% weight reduction for resources.
