Adds Mapusaurus (from Mr.Troodon's Giga TLC in aASE) to ASA as its own species. Not quite giga tier, but still an apex predator specializing in brawling and sieging. Spawns in mountainous environments

Mapusaurus is a large predator focusing on being either a siege engine or a high-powered brawler. Too big to go into boss fights, it just might be what you're looking for in regards to overworld encounters. The main combat niche is you want this guy in the thick of things, with his passive ability toggling to keep him going in the fight.

HP: 1750 Stamina: 400 Weight: 750

  • Platform Saddle allows roughly the same space as a Parceratherium's platform. However, it reduces speed by 10% and damage by 15%, while also preventing Mapusaurus from utilizing some of its abilities. Even despite this, it is still arguably the fastest terrestrial platform creature.
  • Fantastic running stamina, letting it run for extremely long periods at good speed.
  • Stamina regenerates at the same rate when walking as when idle
  • Momentum running a la rhino/direbear
  • Immune to knockback
  • Slightly botched HP-per-level when tamed (0.15 compared to usual 0.2), and slightly botched stamina-per-level when tamed (0.08 compared to usual 0.1). No nerfs on tame and no botched melee
  • Passive Ability: Adrenaline. Any time Mapusaurus takes damage, there's a 15% chance Adrenaline toggles for 30 seconds. Adrenaline: proc a buff that increases speed and melee damage by 10%, while also restoring 25 stamina per second and -25 torpor per second. To prevent issues conflicting with taming, wild Mapusaurus's Adrenaline toggle does not drain torpor.
  • Taming method: concussive knockout, like karkinos/rock golem
  • Left click: Bite. Base 80 damage in standard Large Carnivore (IE: Yuty) damagetype, no special effects.
  • Right click: Headbutt. Base 60 damage. Deals knockback. Damages all structure tiers. When running, the damage of this attack scales to a maximum of 3x at maximum speed. Has a slight cooldown and decent stamina cost. Has a chance to inflict Broken Bones, this chance scales with the percentage of your meter on impact. IE: 50% meter = 50% chance to inflict Broken Bones, 100% = 100% chance.
  • C key: Thrash. High stamina cost with a decent cooldown, stationary attack that cannot be used while moving. Hit four times for base 100 damage each: each hit scales in damage regarding how much health the target has left. IE: if the target is at 75% health, you deal 25% more damage. As such, the first hit in the combo is always the weakest. Cannot be used when Platform Saddle is equipped.
  • Alt Fire (Adrenaline not active): Aesthetic Roar.
  • Alt Fire (Adrenaline active): Buff Roar. Stationary attack with a 10sec cooldown and high stamina cost. Buff your allies with Mammoth's Drum buff, granting Yuty fear immunity and near-instant stamina regeneration. Mapusaurus is immune to Mammoth's Drum buff itself.

A great siege creature in its own right, Mapusaurus wants to go charging head-first into the fray, utilizing Adrenaline toggles to offset its high stamina cost attacks (Headbutt, Buff Roar, Thrash) to keep itself in the fight.

If you want a Mapusaurus that excels at combat, use a standard saddle.

Want one that excels as support/siege? Use a platform saddle! (Though your rams are 15% less effective without adrenaline, at which point they're only 5% less).
