🦊 Feras Fauna: Foxes

Do you love foxes as much as I do?

This mod introduces fox species with multiple variants — from curious shoulder companions that follow you through the tundra to powerful greater foxes you can ride into the wild.

Each fox comes with its own mechanics, buffs, and personality. Small, clever, independent — but never useless.

Currently included:

• 🦊 Arctic Fox (Shoulder Mount)
• 🦊 Greater Arctic Fox (Rideable Variant)
• 🦊 Alpha Greater Arctic Fox

🦊 Arctic Fox

A curious little fox that will approach survivors on its own. In groups, it can become aggressive and join the fight.

⚔️ Abilities

• Primary Attack – Bite

🧬 Passives

• Thick Fur: When carried on your shoulder, you gain the Thick Fur buff (scales with Fox melee damage) which provides Hypothermic Insulation
• Pet: You can pet the fox to grant a 20% EXP boost to allied dinos nearby

🌍 Spawns

• Any snow biome
• Lost Colony: Tundra, around hot springs
• Has a 1% chance to spawn as an Alpha Greater Arctic Fox

🐾 Taming

• KO tame
• Food: All types of meat or Basic Kibble

🦊 Greater Arctic Fox

A larger, rideable version of the Arctic Fox. A peaceful lone wanderer — not aggressive by default.

⚔️ Abilities

• Primary Attack – Bite
• Secondary Attack – Bark (scares away smaller creatures)
• Crouch – Digging

🧬 Passives

• Thick Fur: While riding, the rider gains the buff Thick Fur (Hypothermic Insulation; scales with Fox melee damage)
• Sit: Can sit down (currently cosmetic)
• Rideable: Can be ridden bareback

A rare and powerful alpha variant of the Greater Arctic Fox.

• Replaces Greater Arctic Fox with a 5% chance
• Has a 1% chance to spawn instead of an Arctic Fox
• Drops the Arctic Fox Saddle
