Play As Dino! - Beta

This mod allows you to play as any creature! You can customize the colors and size of your creature.

Important note: this is a beta version of a mod. Be sure to back up your server or save before installing the mod. Feedback on features and bugs is welcome, especially on servers and consoles!

The Survival Ascended port of the original Play As Dino mod for Survival Evolved. This version also adds several improvements over the original version:

  • Improved creation menu: not only will you be able to select any color for your dino, you can also modify the body of your dino.
  • Improved building: you can just select and build structures from the hotbar.
  • Improved interaction: interact with any character, structure or item.

Customize dino

The mod allows you to play as any ARK dino (modded and vanilla), but also adds custom dinos that are meant to the played as and provide the best quality. Currently the following are available and more will be added over time:

  • Ant
  • Argentavis
  • Direwolf
  • Raptor
  • Titanoboa

The mod comes with the following features:

  • Admin menu: allows admins to disable dinos on the fly and change the breeding stats. This can be access via the console: cheat ScriptCommand ShowPADSettings
  • Playing and Breeding as almost all dinos (vanilla and modded) and easier to select
  • Building custom structures: you can built your own food storage or den as a dino

Nest

This mod will launch as a beta version. This means that bugs will be present, especially since it touches a lot of core features. Be sure to make a backup of your singleplayer save of server first!

How to use:

  1. Install and add the mod (with top priority)
  2. Go to the spawn menu or character creation menu and select Create New Dino
  3. Select your species. If a modded or creature from another map/dlc is not available, add it via the Admin Menu.
  4. Edit it's colours and body
  5. Select Create and Spawn
  6. Enjoy!

  • Player dino is not knocked out
  • Inventory display and functionality on consoles
  • Mating on consoles
  • Starting as water dino on consoles
  • Requirement to install Valguero
  • Admin menu not working
  • Breeding issues
