Better Aberration Rules [Discontinued]

As of June 23rd, 2025, I have made the choice to either temporarily discontinue or fully discontinue this mod due to it being hard to get working without major perforance issues, and more. From what I could test on singleplayer, it was still working, but there is an FPS issue when looking at any dino. Additionally, this was my first mod, and it is mystery how I got it to work in the first place with how scuffed the graphing is.

Have you ever wanted to “main base” on Aberration, but still want to have access to all of your favorite creatures from the other ARKs? Have you ever felt like Aberration loses its challenge factor with allowing foreign dino downloads, or setting soft rules for yourself to not use fliers always fails in the end? This mod hopes to solve this issue by allowing users to have all of their dinos on their Aberration ARK, but just unable to be ridden. This means you can still breed them, get kibble eggs, do some bio-grinding, or whatever you want to do with your critters. You will see a buff on your dino’s inventory telling you that they cannot be ridden if they do not pass the whitelist.

I’ve included all tameable dinosaurs that are on Aberration, and any dinos that were included in the allowed CrossARK Transfers list on ASE, which is why dinos like Maewings and Managarmrs are included. Maeguanas are presumptively included. Also, shoulder pets are on this list as I did not want the “NO RIDING!” buff in their inventory, as you cannot ride them, anyways. All variants should be allowed, including modded variants like ARKOLOGY and S-Variants, as long as they follow the same naming scheme as Vanilla ark in their blueprint path and match a default allowed dino.

Add new dinos by using their BLUEPRINT name with no spaces. For example, a managarmr is an "icejumper" and a maewing is a "milkglider." Check mod pages or Discords for information on their blueprint names.
