Ark Ozone is a cosmic–ancestral evolution overhaul for ARK, built around sacrifice, genetics and a multi-tier progression system that can define an entire playthrough.

Ark Ozone is not just another creature mod – it is a full evolutionary framework.
You are a survivor thrown into a wild and alien world called Ozone.
Your goal is simple on paper: survive and claim the strangest, most powerful creatures this land can create.
In practice, nothing is simple:
- Every creature carries its own unique genetic composition.
- Each Tier has its own resources, foods, armors, structures and progression path.
- Power always comes with a price – sometimes that price is a creature you were attached to.
At the beginning, things feel manageable.
By the end… even the ocean is no longer safe – and evolution starts taking things away from you.
🏛 Tier System at a Glance
Each tier is stronger than the last and introduces new mechanics, drops and risks.
Tier I – Muntunued
Your starting foundation. Tamed similarly to vanilla creatures, but using tier-specific foods and drops. You will rely on Muntunued to survive early game and farm basic genetic materials.Tier II – Tong’s
The first real spike in power. Unlocked by defeating the Tier I boss, which grants access to new crafting stations, kibbles and structures.- Tame wild Tong’s with special kibbles
- Or evolve your Muntunued into Tong’s, creating a stronger version than any wild one
Tier III – Elemental Evolution (Air, Earth, Fire, Lightning, Toxic)
Unlocked by defeating the Tier II boss. Creatures now split into elemental paths:- Air – Support specialists: agile, evasive, and great at repositioning and assisting allies.
- Earth – Tanks: durable frontliners that hold the line.
- Fire – Bursters: aggressive, high burst-damage creatures.
- Lightning – Fast, unstable attackers with constant pressure.
- Toxic – Attrition and damage-over-time specialists.
You can tame wild Elementals via kibbles or evolve your Tong’s into focused elemental monsters.
They are progression pieces, but crucial to reach higher tiers.Tier IV – Ozone
The namesake tier of the mod, unlocked by defeating the Tier III boss.
Creatures here feel like ancient engines driven by cosmic forces, granting access to:- High-tier resources
- Stronger gear and structures
- The genetic base needed for the tiers beyond
Tier V – Alpha (DNA Evolution)
From Tier V onward, there is no more kibble path – only evolution.
Using a DNA Extractor, you:- Collect DNA from fallen creatures
- Combine it with special components
- Evolve Tier IV creatures into Tier V Alphas
Alphas are strong, but every evolution step forces you to decide:
how many Ozone creatures will you kill to push one favorite forward?Tier VI – Prime (Blood & Embryos)
The most brutal and dramatic step. Primes are too special to drop natural DNA.To create a Prime, you must:
- Extract blood from a living Prime using a special syringe.
- You only get one extraction – afterward, the creature becomes sick and cannot be used again for this.
- Combine Prime Blood with the heart of a creature from the previous tier, crafting a unique DNA.
- Use this DNA to create an embryo.
- Implant the embryo inside a pre-tier host creature.
- Wait for gestation. When the Prime is finally born…
the host creature dies.
- Extract blood from a living Prime using a special syringe.
At Tier VI, evolution stops being just a system and becomes a story of loss and power.
The creatures you gain are absurdly strong. The price you pay is unforgettable.
🔁 How Evolution Works (Progression Flow)
There are two main ways to move forward: wild taming and evolution.
Wild Taming Path
- Use tier-specific foods and kibbles to tame creatures in that tier.
- Progress by unlocking new stations and recipes via boss kills.
- Each new boss defeated unlocks:
- New crafting stations
- New kibbles
- New structures and engrams
Evolution Path
Follow a continuous genetic ladder:
- Muntunued (Tier I) → Tong’s (Tier II)
- Tong’s → Elementals (Tier III)
- Elementals → Ozone (Tier IV)
- Ozone → Alpha (Tier V, DNA-based evolution)
- Alpha / previous tiers → Prime (Tier VI, blood + embryo evolution)
