Aberrant Variant coming soon!
Basic Information:
- Walliserops spawn on beaches, at about the same frequency as Oviraptor / Moschops.
- Walliserops also spawn on Scorched Earth, around the rivers at the center of the map. They spawn at about the same frequency as Kapros, and spawn in duller brown colors, compared to their more vibrant colors on other maps!
- New Aberrant Walliserops variant spawns on Aberration, in the lakes near the portal.
- Walliserops spawn on Extinction in the small swamp area in the middle of the city.
- Because of their spiky exoskeleton, most creatures ignore the Walliserops, however it can still defend itself if provoked.
- You can harvest Oil, Silica Pearls, and Chitin from them just like regular Trilobites.
- Just like vanilla trilobites, Walliserops are bottom walkers, and do not drain oxygen. (Don't throw one off your shoulder in the middle of the ocean!)
- Walliserops will only breed underwater! However their eggs can be hatched and offspring raised on land.
Taming: Taming a Walliserops is straightforward. Drag corpses to it, like an otter, but make sure you drag the right one! Walliserops are picky eaters and will ask for a random corpse from the following list:
- Coelacanth
- Dodo
- Dilo
- Lystro
(Level does NOT matter for taming effectiveness or taming amount. Also corpses can be from tamed dinos! They do not have to be wild corpses.)
Walliserops on Scorched Earth will ask for a random corpse from the following list:
- Coelacanth
- Jerboa
- Pegomastax
Walliserops on Aberration will ask for a random corpse from the following list:
- Bulbdog
- Glowbug
- Coelacanth
Walliserops on Extinction will ask for a random corpse from the following list:
- Achatina
- Dilo
- Dimorphodon
Abilities:
While Mounted on the player's shoulder, the Walliserops provides the following utility:
Walliserops deals recoil damage (similar to Arthropleura and Kentrosaurus) to any attackers.
- This damage is not reduced with armor (e.g. if something bites you with no armor or with full flak armor, the reflected damage will still be the same, despite the incoming damage being reduced.)
If a creature under 150 drag weight (carriable by an Argentavis) attacks the player while they are carrying a Walliserops, it will fire off one of the Three Spikes protruding out of the front of its head, applying a Fear Debuff that lasts 10s.
- After firing, the spikes will gradually regenerate over 60s.
- If you kill a creature that has been spiked by a Walliserops, a new menu icon will pop up on the corpse, allowing you to [Retrieve Spike]. Walliserops Spikes can be crafted into a new item: the Chitin Spear
Chitin Spear: Unlocks at level 10
- Costs: 10 Wood, 25 Chitin, 20 Hide, 5 Walliserops Spikes
- 40 Melee Damage, 30 Durability
- On hit, 25% chance to apply a Fear Debuff that lasts 10s if the creature is under 150 drag weight.
- Higher quality items can be found in White and Green drops on most maps.
Walliserops Armor: Unlocks at level 10
- Costs: 10 Hide, 25 Fiber, 50 Wood
- 25.0 Armor, 12.0 weight.
- Higher quality items can be found in White and Green drops on most maps.
